The Health and Social Care Research and Development Division of the Public Health Agency (HSC R&D Division) recognises that research findings should be translated into health or social care benefits as quickly and efficiently as possible.  As such, funding is being offered under the Knowledge Transfer Scheme to aid the translation of research findings.

The Knowledge Transfer Scheme is intended to support knowledge transfer that delivers significant practice, policy, social and/or economic benefits.  The scheme does not exclude proposals that seek to commercialise research discovery/innovation but the support available under knowledge transfer must be complementary to any support available through HSC Innovations, university knowledge/technology transfer or Invest Northern Ireland

The scheme cannot be used to fund research.  The funding must be used to transfer previously generated knowledge.  The maximum award available is £100,000 and the maximum duration is 2 years.

The deadline for receipt of applications is Friday 18th November 2011 at 4.00pm.

Application forms are available from HSC R&D Division – tel: 028 9055 3617, web: click here.

Reearchers that have been receiving assistance from HSC Innovations are advised to contact HSC Innovations for advice before forming an application to this Knowledge Transfer Scheme.
